Statistics
- There is an 11% increase in sexual assault victim support call-outs to Colorado Springs area hospitals compared with last year (90 times so far in 2009 compared with 81 times during the same period in 2008). In addition, this year we have extended our 24/7 on-call support to hospitals to include response for victims of domestic violence, not only sexual abuse.
- Last year, the Pikes Peak Region received over 11,400 reports of child abuse, the most of any region in the state.
- Child abuse happens at every socio-economic level, across ethnic and cultural lines, within all communities/neighborhoods and all levels of education.

- Last year, more than 68,000 CASA volunteers nationwide served more than 240,000 abused and neglected children through 1,018 program offices. CASA volunteers have helped more than two million abused children since the first program was established in 1977.
